Jrue Holiday Video

Here's a video of Jrue Holiday from a UCLA Basketball Camp... Holiday is one of the top basketball recruits in the nation in 2008, and he'll be headed to play for Ben Howland and the UCLA Bruins.

Gus Johnson on a call

This video is awful, but it displays the goodness of Gus Johnson, screaming and yelling after a putback dunk. Gus rocks.

Bill Walker eating popcorn on the bench

If this doesn't sum up the NIT, I'm not sure what does.

Last 40 seconds of UCLA vs. Gonzaga

This is the video from the 2006 Sweet 16 game between UCLA and Gonzaga, and it very well be my most favorite video ever. To give you an idea of how good this ending was, even Len Elmore got excited. That's tough to beat.

Gonzaga over Florida - 1999 NCAA Tournament

More from Gus Johnson:

"Shannon, from the CORNEEEEEEEERRRRRR... AND IT'S OVER. GONZAGA. THE SLIPPER STILL FITS!"

Adam Morrison Game-Winner Against Oklahoma St.

This is from 2005, a meeting between Gonzaga and Oklahoma St., where Adam Morrison hit a late 3 to give the Zags the lead and the win. The thing I really like about this is the commentators... Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery. Here's the patented Gus Johnson call:

"MORRISON...6... FIIIIIIIIIREEEEESSS....OOOOHHHH HE BANKED IN A 3!"

Princeton 43, UCLA 41

"What makes the NCAA Tournament what it is? Coach Dean Smith would say, 'I could never beat Jack Nicklaus for 18 holes,' but he also said that, 'on that given day, at that given moment, he may be able to beat Jack on 1 hole. Enter Princeton."

Duke vs. Clemson Clock Error

As I first saw on Deadspin, this is the video that basically shows what the ACC later confirmed... that there was a large clock error at the end of the Duke/Clemson game, won by Duke 68-66. Watch the video and see it if you haven't already... it's pretty egregious.

Chris Lofton Game-Winner against Winthrop

Personally, I love the NCAA Tournament more than anything else, and a big part is the thought that anything can happen, and quite often usually does. Oftentimes the exciting part is the little guy hitting the game-winner to beat the favorite, but in this case it was Chris Lofton of the 2nd seeded Tennessee Volunteers taking out the 15th seeded Winthrop Eagles with his game-winner with 0.4 seconds left to end the Winthrop dream in the first round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament.

Len Bias Tribute Video

Here's an excellent video with highlights from Len Bias, who of course starred at Maryland before tragically overdosing on cocaine and dying less than 48 hours after being drafted second by the Boston Celtics in the 1986 draft.

2006 NCAA Basketball One Shining Moment

As you probably heard a little something about, Florida won the BCS National Championship game last night, so i figured it was appropriate to post the "One Shining Moment" video from last year's NCAA Basketball Tournament, also, of course, won by the Florida Gators. These videos are another great part of the NCAA Tournament... a nice 3 to 4 minute clip with lots of good highlights from the Tourney. Really an excellent way to conclude the Tournament.
